The Coco Bongo show in Punta Cana is a dazzling party featuring dancing, cocktails, and performances with iconic characters from beloved films.

Actually, that undersells it. Coco Bongo isn’t just a show, not just a nightclub, not just a party. It’s a grand spectacle of fiery songs and heated dancing — burlesque, carnival, and circus all under one roof. It’s a parade of explosive emotion and a genuine celebration that rocks nighttime Punta Cana like a cannon blast! Here, dancing on the bar isn’t forbidden — it’s practically required, anywhere you can climb up! Seductive Moulin Rouge dancers perform just for you, Spider-Man swings overhead as Batman battles below, the Mask twirls you into a dance, a sea of tropical cocktails surrounds you, bright confetti explodes and balloons fly through the air, and giant screens broadcast this dizzying celebration with you right at the center of it all!
What exactly is the Coco Bongo show?
As it happens, Coco Bongo became famous even before it physically existed — remember the nightclub of the same name from the movie “The Mask,” where Jim Carrey’s character, in his Mask persona, put on his own dizzying show? That very blend of dance, fun, music, and madness inspired the creators of Coco Bongo to bring that same celebration to life, with the Mask becoming one of the club’s mascots.
Jim Carrey’s image is so closely tied to that character that many people assume he must be the founder or a shareholder of Coco Bongo — but that’s not the case. The venue belongs to Mexican entrepreneur Roberto Noble.
The first two clubs opened in Mexico, in Cancún and Playa del Carmen, and in 2013 Roberto Noble brought the Coco Bongo celebration to Punta Cana as well, personally laying the first stone for the new club’s construction. This makes Coco Bongo in Punta Cana, together with its Mexican locations, a unique and exclusive trio — not just in the Caribbean, but around the world.
